Newent Chalets

We stayed for two nights at Newent Golf Club & Lodges to attend a wedding at the nearby church of St. John the Evangelist in Pauntley, Gloucestershire. Our room was clean and comfortable and good value for money. Maggie Brown, the person in charge was very helpful and sent a detailed E-mail before the visit on the best way to find the gold course and recommendations on local restaurants and taxi services etc. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

Being a guest in The Feathers for 4 days was like stepping back into a gracious way of life that made me feel like I was a guest in a Tudor manor. Every common gathering area was furnished like a welcoming home, with lovely decor and photographs of the hotel's and town's history. The dining and bar service were excellent, and there were nooks for companionable sharing of food and drink. My ancestors lived in Ledbury 300 years ago and I can't imagine why they ever left. It is a charming town...

We loved our stay - the room was very comfortable and bed was king size. Breakfast was good and accommodated vegans. Our dog was very welcome and they even offered a doggie breakfast! Staff were very friendly.

Lovely view from bar and restaurant patio. Friendly helpful staff and clean and quiet room. Loved my stay here.

Air conditioning not as cool as we like

Really friendly staff, comfortable room, and great food!

Clean room, and very quiet. Great value for money and perfect for my few days in Hereford. Thank you, and see you again soon!

Staff, restaurant and location was excellent … only negative was that the beds tilted due to the flooring structure; therefore, the sleeping was not very comfortable … not sure how the could remedy that but if they could then this hotel would be a 10 in my book. 😊

Our stay was lovely!

This is a fantastic little inn just outside Gloucester. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind to us as we navigated our way about . Cannot say enough good things about the people at The Wharfhouse. Best to have your own car at hand but you can make do with taxi service as we did or with short, 1 mile, hike into town. Highly recommend The Wharfhouse.

I was late arriving and almost missed dinner! But I had a wonderful evening meal and wonderful breakfast in a quiet comfortable lodging after a long walking day.

Great espresso and bar and a welcome environment.

AWESOME hotel! Great staff, rooms are exquisitely appointed with color and style. Beds are SUPERB: slept better in their bed than my own lol! Will be back!

Delicious food, clean and comfortable room, very pleasant and helpful staff. I had a lovely stay.

VERY helpful staff.. Great rooms and amenities.. Everything is as listed or better ! Highly recommend this place
