"Absolutely loved this hotel. So charming with lots of character. Room was very clean, staff very helpful and friendly. It was beautifully decorated for fall and historic (1910). I enjoyed looking at the old photos decorating the walls. I will stay here again without a doubt if I am in the area. Highly recommend."

"Have stayed here several times as we pass through VA and always impressed. This stay was different. The place had an add smell, maybe like marajuana, rotten cabbage smell. Not a clean, pleasant smell in any case. There was a repeating clanking of pipes in the wall or something all night and almost outta coffe at 6:15 AM plus no creamer. Not a fan favorite anymore, hopefully they have upped their game if we choose to return."
