“Ons verblijf bij La Joyeuse was in één woord geweldig. We werden heel warm en persoonlijk ontvangen, waardoor we ons meteen thuis voelden. De kamer was stijlvol, schoon en heel comfortabel, we hebben heerlijk geslapen. De driegangen menu is een echte aanrader: verfijnde, smaakvolle gerechten met duidelijk veel aandacht bereid. De tuin is een grote meerwaarde: een rustige, sfeervolle plek om even helemaal te ontspannen. Wat voor ons echt het verschil maakte, was de oprechte gastvrijheid.……

“Extremely rude, unhelpful and unprofessional Hotel management - do not stay here if you want a hotel to care about your well being. On arrival yesterday in a heatwave of 40 degrees the air conditioning was not working on our room. I raised this issue with the manager as it was unbearably hot and uncomfortable in our room. The property is advertised as having air conditioning. When I asked for a fan or any other help, he just repeatedly assured me it was working and refused to actually check……

“Séjour avec mes 2 grands garçons. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par notre hôte. Le gîte n'étant pas complet mes fils ont même pu bénéficier d'une chambre pour tous les 2 avec sdb individuelle au lieu d'une chambre de 3. Petit déjeuner au top comme on les aime, avec de la confiture maison :-) , du beurre, du pain frais, des céréales et des mini-viennoiseries variées +++ Je recommande”

“A last minute stopover to break up a long trip and for €65 we could not have asked for more. The check in process was smooth and easy. The receptionist spoke very good English (after my painful attempt at checking us in in french!) The rooms were exceptionally clean. The beds were extremely comfy and we slept so well! The car park is plentiful and secure. And despite arriving late in the evening we managed to park up with ease. Plus it's just off the main road so great for ease! Whilst we……

“Unexpected Charm. Don't let the entrance fool you, behind the big door in a narrow street is a Lovely home, run by an enchanting couple. They were warm & welcoming, even ran out to find us an open restaurant after our late arrival. Parking out front was easy. ”

“Spotlessly clean. Excellent staff. Pool was covered for our stay. What made this stay memorable was the restaurant attached. One of the best 3 course meals I can remember and unbelievable value for money. Fantastic wine list to boot. If you stay here you must try the restaurant. The hotel was not busy but the restaurant was full. The breakfast in the separate hotel dining room was only average but acceptable. The bed I found much too hard so I did not sleep that well. I would stay here again……
