"It is a beautifully converted old property, with so much characters, but really good modernisations too. The bathrooms are excellent and modern - the two main living rooms have so much charm. "What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a god send as the weather was tres chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. Didn’t use the Moroccan room as it was just too hot for us. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Really nice to receive some wine and coffee on arrival too. If there isn’t any use for the yoga room anymore than that room would be amazing as a family room...

"A traditional French country house, clean and tidy with good facilities. Bikes were helpfully left at the house for us to use. We enjoyed the table tennis table, darts etc on our evenings in. We sadly didn't have very good weather but the garden area, pool etc would be great in the sun. Montboyer is very quiet but the local restaurant and bakery are worth visiting. The house is in a good location for exploring, we loved Aubeterre and Brantome and also had a great day in Cognac."

"This lovely rural farmhouse provided plenty of space for our extended family of 6 adults and 3 children (aged 13, 4 and <2) to spend a relaxing week in a more peaceful area of the Dordogne. The pool was a huge hit with adults and children alike whilst the many outside areas allowed space for both sun or shade throughout the day. "The hotel islocated in an old abbey but the inside apartments are modern, comfortable and clean. The kitchen and supplies are perfect for a simple meal and breakfast to save money if on a budget. The bathroom was spacious for European standards and the bed very comfortable. "

Staircase to the bedroom balcony makes a bathroom trip in the depths of night a precarious adventure but the overall ambience and amenities are delicious .
