"Very comfortable, welcoming, pleasant hotel in a great location. We had a warm, friendly welcome at L’Ideal Mountbatten. The hotel is small and unassuming but the rooms are lovely and comfortable. It’s a great base for Arromanches-les-Bains and Normandy in general, including the D-Day beaches. We would like to have stayed longer - highly recommend. Good value too!"

"This is a beautiful property located close to Normandy. It was a perfect place for us as a base from which to visit Omaha, Utah and Juno beaches, as well as the American and German cemeteries. The Hotel is in an elegant chateaux that has been converted into lovely rooms. We had a suite that was roomy and comfortable, with a great bathroom. Stunning grounds and gardens. A great pool. And the restaurant was over the top. Oliver and John are warm and friendly hosts. Elegant setting, amazing food and wines."
