"My last stay was to recover from surgery in a positive, cozy location away from home. Prior to that I stayed to spend time cooking, hiking, and connecting with my children who live in San Diego. Both stays were in different spaces and I cannot say enough about how special both were. "

"The cottage was a little hard to find since it is tucked behind another house, once there it was very cozy and we felt like we were in our own space. We enjoyed having coffee each morning on our patio and our child appreciated her own bedroom down a little hallway. Parking was easy on the street; there were numerous options for grocery stores; getting into San Diego was quick and easy."

"Property was super clean, smelt nice, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Neighborhood is very walkable. Stayed during the week and parking wasn’t an issue. Our dog had a great time. There’s a restaurant/ bar right at the corner of the street that allows dogs which was super convenient. Thank you!"

"The cottage was beautiful and true to the listing it was a short walk to the beach. We brought our two dogs with us, which was great to find a place that allowed pets. It was nice having a full kitchen, though I didn’t read prior to that there was no microwave. But that would be the only negative I have. I also am not sure if I just couldn’t figure out the pull out couch situation (not enough bed space with my wife and baby). I tried to see handles to pull out a bed but didn’t see any. It might...

"I almost don’t want to leave a review because I don’t want the secret to be let out about this place. It is perfect for one or two people. Within walking distance to Liberty Station and a $15 Uber ride to the airport. Things to consider if staying here: It is in flight path to the airport so airplanes fly over frequently. Not an issue for me as I lived in the area for several years and it just becomes white noise, but the owners thought of this and provides ear plugs if you’re a light...

"This place is so cute! I’d love to stay here again. The patio was relaxing and the faux fireplace is a nice touch. Loved the upstairs bedroom and bath. Feedback for improvements: 1 dresser drawer was in need of reinforcement. I was afraid my clothes were too heavy for the bottom. More plants would be nice on the patio but that’s just me."

"This property was fantastic! Perfect for my family and our dog Rosco. We all slept amazing and one day didn’t even leave the property - just opened the front door and enjoyed the gorgeous ocean air. The property managers are incredibly responsive and accommodating. We were visiting for a soccer camp for my son. If he goes back next year there is no question that we will stay here again if it is available!"

"Pros: -Great Location! Good restaurants within walking distance, liquor store, butcher shop, bagel shop. Most importantly the Windnsea beach! -Great view from rooftop -Hot tub has a fun little grotto feel, perfect for 2 people. -Game room is a nice touch complete with Laundry! -Roku System was useful for evening movie viewing -Tiny but mighty kitchen Cons: -Pictures need to be updated, especially the rooftop. The location was spectacular, so close to the beach and walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops on Newport Ave. The casita is extremely well-equipped and had everything we needed. The home was clean and comfortable, quiet and inviting. Dora was also exceptionally kind and accommodating. She allowed us an early check-in and a late check-out and was fully responsive throughout. "My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in January. It was convenient to lots of restaurants in OB and to major tourist attractions. We took the bus downtown a couple of times and the bus stop is just around the corner. The cottage is clean and has everything we needed."
