“I had stayed at Tubagua twice before and loved it, which is why I chose it to celebrate my birthday with my daughters and friends. I booked two lodges and contacted the property beforehand to explain that it was a special occasion. Unfortunately, the experience was completely different this time. Upon arrival, after learning I was Belgian, the owner told me he “had a problem with Belgians” because of a personal visa issue involving his wife. A very uncomfortable welcome that had nothing to do……
