"We ended up asking for a refund and going elsewhere. We booked a room here because it was close to the hospital, which is really the only positive for the hotel. It does have what seemed to be a decent restaurant attached as well. The first room we went to had a broken window that was not possible to close and since it was going below zero that night it made the room unusable. We asked for another room and were moved but the second room was horribly dirty with massive visible red stains on the carpet. Large stains on all of the furniture and stains on the bedding. We just asked for a refund after that."

"The night of our stay we had to walk through a concert to grab takeout from the restaurant instead of dining in. The layout was awkward, but having the restaurant there was quite convenient. The pizza could have used more sauce, but we enjoyed it. *Remember that pizza boxes don't fit in hotel fridges.* The kids might have liked to try the arcade inside the restaurant if there hadn't been a show that night. No swimming pool at this location, but it was fine for this visit and I was able to use the gym which had a sauna I didn't try. Room had a "fireplace" I didn't expect which was a nice touch. The free breakfast included hot eggs and sausage, make your own instant oatmeal and other carbs. My husband enjoyed the complimentary underground parking and the bed was comfortable enough for his bad back. Staff was new, but eager to help. Would stay again."

"Loved the hot tub"

"There was no staff to find to get breakfast. We booked a queen suite with a jacuzzi and balcony but when we arrived we were given a ground level so had to upgrade (cost was $239 more) We have stayed there 4 times in the past with excellent service, but this time it was a huge waste of money! Even left a message for them to call back before booking but no one called back. We will definitely think about staying somewhere else when staying in the beautiful town of Callander!!! I will keep trying to get a hold of someone from the place to try to resolve the upgrade charge, because the room I booked we have stayed in before."

"The property and the rooms were immaculate and welcoming as well as spacious. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety and options for different tastes. The staff was readily available and helpful."

"Staff were super helpful and efficient. Room was large, nicely updated and clean. Only slight downfall was its location being on a busy road so you can hear some road noise and the town is quite spread out so it’s not near downtown. For a night or even a couple nights I would definitely recommend staying here."
