Interesting rooms with jetted tub and fireplace. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Alternative way to second floor was up outside stairs that felt like fire escape. Rusty and unsafe for us and small pet. Strong cooking grease odor evident in second floor hallway.

For the price that I paid the property was not well maintained but worse was the beds they were listed as queen but I do have a queen bed and these were not and the beds were too soft you could feel the springs and it sank in the middle woke up completely sore and could not sleep at all, the rugs were dirty and the halls smelled

The Big Bird Inn had decent updated rooms however the common areas were sorely in need of an update. The breakfast offering was deminimus, they started vacuuming outside our door at 8 am and there was no elevator to get to the second level. Given the price we paid, we would expect more. The staff at the site was welcoming and the AC worked well.

For a remote location like Wawa, this is a very clean and safe property with a nice included breakfast. There is not really a lobby or sitting area, so if you are traveling with young kids and need to stagger bedtimes, there is not much besides walking the main street to kill some time. Otherwise, would stay here en rote through Wawa again.

The staff were lovely and did what they could, it comes down to the higher ups. They are not dealing with their pest issue and have an infestation of carpenter ants, they only give two full size towels even though four people are booked to a room, and they only have one staff who is responsible for the breakfast buffet. One person is both cleaning up and cooking after the rush of guests. It is nowhere near enough and they need a second person. We didn't see any bed bugs so at least that.

There was no body wash or shampoo in the shower dispensers. There was no hot water for a morning shower. It seemed to be a known issue experienced by more than us when I mentioned it at checkout. Explanation was many people showering at the same time. Respectfully, a hotel should have capacity to provide hot water for showers.

Great staff, and very clean rooms, recently renovated. Comfy beds, bedding and pillows. The only downside is that the soundproofing isn’t as robust as some other hotels, but guests were quiet, so it wasn’t an issue. Easy and ample parking. Very easy to find if you’re coming off the highway since it’s on the main drag.

The jetted tub shows serious lack of maintenance ie:requiring user to stretch across open tub to access controls for water that had missing 1handle and the hot control handle was broken (stripped internal threads)requiring assistance from check in clerk on how to get to open to a stream that went cold before jets were covered. shower was also cold water.

The hotel was fantastic from a bed comfort quality and sheets. Room was lovely. We had been in rural areas before that were not nearly as nice as this. Happy!
