  • Welcome to Paradise! Our 3 level home has 6 bedrooms and 6 full bathrooms, sleeps 16. There is a private pool (salt water), hot tub, steam room, outdoor shower, and golf cart (registered for complimentary public parking!) There are two kitchens, three master bedrooms with king beds and full bathrooms attached. Two additional bedrooms, 1 king and 1 queen bed and the sixth bedroom has two sets of bunk beds. Additionally, there is day bed with a trundle and a roll away bed. There are four decks running the length of the house with rocking chairs.; two of the decks overlook the pool. The game room has foosball and shuffleboard table.There are 7 large flat screen TV's with cable and high speed internet. Oak Island has a south facing beach with beautiful sunrise and sunsets. You can walk to the beach, take the golf cart or drive as there is ample free public parking. Oak Island, NC is a treasure with fishing, canoeing, kayaking, golf, tennis, mini golf , public boat docks, playground and many other amenities. Great for weddings, reunions, retreats*!

The house was great for our large group. We had plenty of room and bathrooms. The private pool was key for the children. The host was quick to answer any questions we had and was super helpful. We will definitely stay again.

Experience of house was good. Would like to see some nicer pots and pans. More supplies such as towels/paper towels/toilet paper. Purchased a lot of these items. Pool/hot tub were great. I realize this is an older property but kept up. Golf cart was great to have. Our hosts were very good at responding in timely manner.

Our family had a great time here. Everyone said it was a great place, great location. We were pleased with having our own onsite pool and hot tub.
My hubby and I being nostalgic in the pool remembering our 8th grade year.

Nice place for a group

Inside well kept, golf cart was great, outside could be a bit more taken care of lots of weeds and leaves. The pool was great and handy on hot days which we had a week full. We had a great time, come and stay.

This house was perfect and had everything we needed! It was super clean and the pool/hot tub were so fun! Larry was also super responsive and helpful with questions. This is the perfect place to stay in Oak Island!

Perfect large family spot

The owners were very easy to communicate with and the place was perfect! It has everything to keep you entertained even on rainy days. With the pool and hot tub the kids never got bored 10+ in our book!

Have always loved Oak Island. Found this Home on VRBO and it fit our large family needs perfectly. Plenty of space. Loved how the house provided natural shading over the pool in the afternoon for comfortable swimming. Very clean

Larry and Rose were great hosts. The property had everything we needed for 4 families with a total of 16 people. House was clean and check in was easy. Pool, hottub, golf cart, and game room provided plenty of entertainment. Will book with them again

Perfect for extended family stay

The house suited our needs perfectly with (in additon to 2 additional bedrooms) THREE on suite master bedrooms AND a private apartment. The pool was the icing on the cake. Our hosts were lovely and accessible. Highly recommend.

My extended family and I had a great time staying at this house. Exactly like the pictures. The heated pool was a favorite. The short drive to the beach was not bad. Plenty of parking. Larry was very responsive to messages.

Very nice getaway

With plenty of space, we (9 adults and 4 kids) enjoyed our stay. The size of the house allowed us to join together when we wanted to and allowed for personal quiet time as well. The heated pool, hot tub, golf cart, and shuffleboard table brought us together for some great times. The house, bedding and all were very clean and comfortable. You’re about 1 mile from the ocean, so you can walk or take the golf cart when you’re ready for beach fun.

Golf trip

Was very happy with the house. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub after a day of playing golf. Met our host Larry and he was a great, very attentive when we had a question. We were a group of 8 guys and there was plenty of room for everyone. We will very likely return next fall for our golf trip. Do yourself a favor and come stay at wine and roses you won't regret it

3 family spring break

Property worked out great. Weather was a little cool, which made the hot tub big part of the week. Used the pool too, but it was a little cool to stay in for long. Fixed several meals in for the week. Would stay again for sure. Spoke with Larry while he was checking on the pool mid-week. Property is as represented. Worked great for 3 families (6 adults and 6 teenagers).

The house its self was beautiful! Very accommodating, had everything we needed kitchen wise, bedroom and bathroom. There was a fire stick in every room, plenty of toilet paper provided. The steam room, outside shower, hot tub and pool were such a great advantage for the time of year we went. There was some issues with the golf cart but the host handled it well. The location from the beach was a bit farther than we thought. It probably wouldn’t be bad if it were only adults, but having babies from 7 month - 1 year - 4 year olds made it challenging with beach equipment time frames etc. the large dinning room table was such a nice part too, game nights and family dinner was so achievable and a great part of our trip. As well as the balcony furniture and time spent there as well.

Nice large house

We enjoyed the large house, but it definitely needs some upgrades! The hot tub really needs to be replaced, someone had set it at 107 degrees, luckily I own one and got it to a proper temperature! The house was ok for cleanliness but we found the oven with dirty foil and the basement apartment not to clean! The pool guy stopped and was very nice and offered to come back later!

The best big family getaway!!

We had grandma and grandpa and two separate families all together in this house! It was a fantastic time had by all. The main dining room was big enough for us all to eat together and we lounged together in the living room easily as well. First floor game room was a huge hit! Had a great time with pinball and foosball tournament and shuffle puck. We were in the pool and hot tub for the majority of the time! That pool was so warm it was wonderful! Went to the beach a handful of times. We had too many for the golf cart so we just drove instead of making trips back and forth. Right around the corner so no big deal. The owners responded immediately with anything we needed. Everything was clean and it looked like they recently did some floors and fresh paint so it looked great! We only ate out twice, ordered in once, ordered a lobster boil and cooked it at the house and did steaks one night and burgers and dogs on the grill the other night. Had everything we needed to dine in and cook. Definitely recommend this house and the kids were already trying to plan the next big family vacation. We had 11 yrs through 23 for the kids. The apartment downstairs was perfect for our 23 year old. Grandma and grandpa loved being in the middle of everything on the main level and it was so nice to have private rooms with bathrooms for all the adults and the kids spread out in the bunk house, queen room and the bed on the landing actually has a decent amount of space around it. Loved it!!
