Comfortable and the staff was friendly and accommodating. It can be noisy depending on where your room is located because there is construction outside. Ice maker didn't function, and the drinks and breakfast items were overpriced so went to Starbucks around the corner.

The staff as always is impeccable...the room and the facility is beginning to show its age. My first room had a window leak and the flooring near there was soaked. The bed was also completely sagged on one side. I was immediately moved - no delay. The second room across from the first room had a vented situation with tubes going out the window - it was not secure and let heat in throughout the day. The noise from construction albeit understandable should be shared with guests at check in if there room is effected. Again...staff are absolutely lovely.

The Shattuck suite was clean and comfortably slept a family with three teens. The hotel bar was really nice. Short five minute walk to Berkeley campus. Great restaurants all around the hotel. Downside is that there were many people suffering from drug addiction and mental health issues on the surrounding streets.

The property is beautiful and in a nice location, but we weren’t able to check in until 5pm when there is a 4pm check in which limited our time before the event we had that evening.
