Convenient to the ferry, but a mile walk (or bus) to BART. Inexpensive and convenient to Jack London Sq. amusements, AMTRAK station. The hotel room telephones were not working when I was there (July 12-17).

The only positive elements about Jack London Inn are its staff and its proximity to Jack London Square across the street and the movie theatre and small restaurants a few blocks over. This is an old and dated property with deferred maintenance issues - walls in my room and the hallway had unpainted plaster patches where repairs were apparently made. Rooms in front had views of Jack London Square, but my room in the back had just a view of an old building. The low price offered on this site reflects the quality of my stay -- which is ok if price is the only factor.

The property does not look like what is reflected on the website. The property is falling apart. There’s huge cracks in the doors greenlight into the room, and there are a lot of people running around the halls. Had known that it would have not seen there

It is not like the pictures. The hotel is overall in poor conditions. It's suppossed to be non-smoker area but this is not respected and the smell is terrible. Not a good experience, would not recommend. The a/c was dammaged, the tv controller even had no batteries. People is too loud in the other rooms. No the bes area also.
