“The check-in was tricky since the lock on the outside door is not the one to use. Did not mention in notes provided. The driveway to the parking spot is long and narrow with no room to turn your vehicle around. So you will be backing out a long distance with not much room for our rented Corolla. Three times blocked in at the end of driveway for people illegally parking. I know that is not the host to control but be prepared to wait up to a hour. Place was nice but it was loud since your……

“Great location, easy layout. Would have appreciated Kleenex and some rudimentary cleaning supplies(besides dish soap), but all in all, very comfortable, convenient property.”

“Couch was dusty and made everyones allergies act up but everything else seemed clean. Had everything you would need for a weekend stay”

“Towels were provided and parking was convenient to find. The bed was large and comfortable enough for two with space to work at the desk as well.”

“Checkin was frustrating. The receptionist was rude and not very informative. He acted as though I’ve never checked into a hotel, very condescending. I told him it was difficult to find, because the Expedia listing doesn’t list the name. He didn’t care. The checkout was at 10, the earliest over ever seen.”

“Rooms were basic but clean and comfy enough for a short stopover.”

“This placed was filled with amenities, easy parking, close to all the things on our list for the weekend. Perfect for two nights for the four of us. My 11yo niece stayed in the loft and really enjoyed it. The sleeping areas are separated by a wall but no doors or rooms. It is basically a very well thought out studio space with a loft. There was enough privacy for our needs, we were still all able to have our own space, but nothing really private. Anything we forgot was found in the cupboards,……

“When we checked in, front desk told us that we don’t have any reservations with them. He said they don’t make reservations online and with Expedia. Had to get another hotel.”

“Such a great place! Very clean, spacious and comfortable. We were sad we could only stay one night :( We would have loved to stay longer!”

“Had an amazing time! The rooms were spacious and all the beds were comfortable. And the shower in the Main bedroom was legendary: 2 rain shower heads, 3 side jets, and 1 detachable, all in the same shower, I was in heaven! The AC/Heating worked smoothly and the neighborhood was peaceful. It was also walking distance to a coffee shop and a convenience store!”

“The cottage was an excellent condition and exceptionally clean. It had all of the basic elements and a beautiful kitchen and patio. We use the Internet watch Harry Potter movies and had no trouble with our connections. The host was polite, supportive, and helpful. The laundry was a big plus and we use the laundry. We did not use the dishwasher because I am used to washing dishes by hand for two but we enjoyed all of the elements that we’re there for us and I think I haven’t slept as well in in a……

“Overall, we had a very comfortable stay! The house is incredibly spacious and located in a perfect spot close to great restaurants and walking paths. My only minor suggestions for improvement would be adding a better setup for trash and upgrading the TV. Would definitely stay again.”

“Beautiful oasis. Old house with lots of charm. The most delicious grapes I have ever tasted in my life. A peaceful place rich with character. Tranquil.”

“Rafael was super prompt and helpful! Some of the most effective communication I've had with a VRBO/other platform host. The location was really nice and affordable relative to other options in Oakland, especially convenient that there is an on-site parking lot. Would definitely recommend if you need a comfortable stay in the area!”

“Brooks’s place is a true respite in the beautiful Oakland hills. Tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac, it offers amazing privacy and exceptional quiet—for the first time in a while, I slept without earplugs! You have the entire lower floor to yourself. Although there’s a home above, Brooks wasn’t on the property during my stay, so it felt like I had the whole place to myself. He has thought of absolutely everything, and I was able to settle in and get some deep work done. The neighborhood is……
