Although room appeared to be cleaned there were still bugs that bit me during the night. The hotel manager did have room thoroughly inspected after I informed them. They said they didn’t find anything and offered me another room; however that room was musty and dark and had a funny smell. We decided to check out and the manager gave us a full refund. I want to give the property a great review for the front office staff because they were friendly and helpful. But overall the condition of the property could use an upgrade. When taking a shower the drain did not work efficiently, took three hours for water to drain. The bathroom door would not stay closed and the balcony door would not lock. Upon checkout I understand that there were others with bug issues as well. I did see an exterminator company pull up. I should say I went to get my bites checked out and it was not bed bugs apparently it was either ant bites or fleas. Without a sample of the insect the medical facility could not determine; but definitely ruled out bed bugs. Again if owners took a little time to upgrade the motel it would be a great place to stay. The bar and grill area was great with live music and food was good. The breakfast buffet was pretty tasty as well.
