CLEANING STAFF WAS PLEASANT AND THE OVERNIGHT GUY WAS GREAT, BUT THE MID DAY GUY DID NOT WANT TO HELP US IN ANYWAY- EVEN AFTER WE ASKED HIM TO HELP US (2 FEMALES) BRING OUR HOTEL CHAIRS DOWN TO THE BEACH HE REFUSED, WE TOLD HIM WE WOULD GIVE HIM A TIP AND HE SAID HE DIDNT NEED OUR MONEY!!!! Breakfast included, Rooms are OK. The parking area is dark and sketchy and having read other reviews about it i was nervous about leaving my rental there, so I asked management if I could parallel park against the property, which they allowed. We were greeted by Mrs. Williams who had a very welcoming smile and a pleasant personality. The room was spacious and pretty clean, but there is NO restaurant as described in the amenities section. What they have is a kitchen and the housekeeper can make meals if you order it in advance AND if they have the food available. They have a menu, but when I placed my order for meals, they were not able to fill them. I had to take taxis daily to get food, which got pretty frustrating and expensive after a while. The hotel staff was very nice and did everything they could to try to make me comfortable, but the hotel is very old, pretty isolated outside of the town and is very limited in amenities. There is no swimming pool and no activities on site. This motel is not a good place for couples or families looking for a relaxing vacation or for anyone that expects to be able to move around freely. The beach is great as are the views. The hotel (motel, really) is a bit run down, I expected more for the money. However, the staff were very helpful. The area is not centrally located so you have to take relatively expensive cabs everywhere. Give the river raft trip on nearby White River a miss. The major problem we found with the hotel, was there was no restaurant to have dinner. The surrounding neighborhood was not one we would walk thru alone at night. We also didn't know of any restaurants close by. We had to order pizza delivery one night and it was the smallest pizza I ever saw. We were also told there was a restaurant next door at an "all inclusive" resort. When we checked into it, we were told it would cost us $75 each just to go into the resort plus the cost of dinner. Not acceptable. Also the shower left something to be desired. There was only one heavy flow of water coming out of the spout. Hotel is in shambles, towels are dirty and stained. Ugh. The staff is very friendly but there are NO ammenities at this hotel.
