“The property was clean and well decorated. There was a kettle, toaster and coffee machine in the kitchen, but only one socket for all three. The kitchen was equipped with two hobs and a microwave.The light switch in the bedroom has a battery operated switch, but the batteries were flat. There was also a remote in which the batteries were good. There is a plug in heater in each of the bedrooms, but no accessible socket to plug it in. “This apartment is a very well situated property. It has VERY BASIC amenities. That being said, it was very clean, quiet and very close to the beach and food market. There are so many restaurants nearby and the funicular that leads to the cliff view of the giant waves is within walking distance. You’ll pass by many restaurants. 2euros up 2euros down. ”

“Small, one bedroom apartment. Parts of this old neighborhood are still being updated/renovated, which is part of the charm. We parked in a parking garage a few blocks away. Google Maps took us through a winding maze of narrow streets and alleys directly to the unit. A little confusing at check-in, but host answered my call and walked me through how to get in. She only speaks a little English (I speak no Portuguese) but we were able to figure it out. Nothing fancy, but a very reasonable price and……
