"We drove to the ryokan from Nagoya Centrair and had no problems finding it. Parking was free and it was conveniently located right next to the ropeway (which was great!). Food was delicious and the onsen was great too. The only negative feedback I have is that certain parts of the room was dusty and perhaps the room needs to be cleaned more. Otherwise, it was an very pleasant overall stay."

"This is an older Hotel that feels like its prime time was in the 1970's and has never left that era and that was perfectly fine by us! This was a great experience we were greeted as we drove up to the property by name as they were waiting for us! "NO TATTOOS. Is the first sign you see when checking in. Perhaps if you have a small discrete tattoo, they will still permit you to use their hot-baths on site. Ideal for couples, seniors, less so for families with children. The beds were quite hard. The in-room food service was very good, as was the breakfast buffet. Both indoor and outdoor onsen was very nice, with the outdoor one having a nice view of Gifu Castle. "

"We loved our time in Gifu! The ryokan was in a lovely quiet part of Gifu surrounded front and back by parks. The staff spoke a little English and we even less Japanese but it didn’t matter- they were so helpful and kind and so friendly -they even did our laundry and drove us to the train station as part of the service!!! There is an onsen - on the top floor. Everything very clean and old world traditional. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. "

"Traditional ryokan with futons and a sunken dining area, where you have to remove your shoes once you enter the ryokan (much like what you do when you visit any home in the far east). However, it still has a modern private bathroom and toilet for creature comfort. Most of all, the hosts showed great hospitality and attention to detail when it comes to service. "The hotel was a perfect Japanese style accommodation. The hotel staff did not speak a lot of English, but we were able to make it through. The building was clean and well kept. Very few amenities and has a shared shower room. Overall a good experience."

"夜御飯食べにフロントで教えて頂いた居酒屋はやはり盆休み、、。近くでやってたのはインド料理。。また、雨降りそうでしたが、レンタル傘なさそうだったので、傘無しで行きましたが、帰りは土砂降りの中、大変でした。 風呂は悪くはなく、帰りは近くの駐車場まで送って頂けたのは、雨強かったので、助かりました。玄関出たところで、たまたま良い運転手さんに会えたから良かったです。"
