Chapman Beach is a private, friendly, community located on Long Island Sound…Old Saybrook/Westbrook line. The Cottage is a renovated and winterized New England home. Decor is Beachy with a mix of antiques and modern….always comfortable!

Westbrook is located in central Connecticut on the Coast. Midway b/w Boston and New York off I95…Exit 65, to the cottage is a 4 minute drive. It is also located in area which makes traveling to many Connecticut attractions easy. We provide numerous basics needs for a getaway so you don’t have to.
Grocery store is <5 minutes away. Many great restaurants in area as well.
Amtrak stops in Old Saybrook and Metro North stops in both Westbrook and Old Saybrook

The NarSeaMist (exist near the mist of the sea) is a year round rental in a typical New England Beach community. In the summer it is popular for long vacation rentals. Year round we have been booked for various occasions….quick weekend getaway, Girls Getaway, families gathering in a central place
b/w Boston and New York, school vacations, small parties or events, etc. We are 2 minute drive to Waters Edge Resort and a popular wedding alternative for those seeking a more private setting.
Westbrook and Clinton outlets are minutes away (great for Girls, Christmas shopping/wrapping WE). A complete list of charming coastal towns and many Connecticut attractions (with approximate distances) have provided below.

My goal is to provide an atmosphere of relaxation & fun, offering the little things that may help…comfortable home away from home atmosphere, beach!, books, board games, lawn games, kayak, hammock fireplace on cool nights and outdoor shower. We provide sheets, towels, first supply of paper products, Keurig or drip coffee maker, an Air Fryer Plus. Many of the kitchen cooking basics (condiments/oils/herbs, dressing). There is also a dishwasher, washer/dryer, beach chairs & towels, playpen and antique high chair if needed.

The homes interior has been renovated and redecorated with a mix of the old and the new.

*WESTBROOK—cute quaint, smallest of the area villages yet booming with the best restaurants out of any of them. These include Cafe Routier (the shoreline hot spot), Christy’s, Haywire, Lenny & Joes, Bill’s Seafood, etc. You can eat your way through Westbrook while enjoying its beautiful shoreline!

*ESSEX VILLAGE—My favorite quaint New England town!!! Nestled in on the shores of the Connecticut River. Main Street offers a beautiful walk with the end of the street bringing you to the river. Central Main Street has a lovely park on the river as well often offering events throughout the season. The town bustles all year round with fine dining and shopping. People here have a love for dogs as I see them walking everywhere😊

Here you will find many unique shops and restaurants. Including the Griswold Inn which is considered a historic landmark by many. The maritime-themed Griswold Inn, “the Gris” for short, is one of the country’s oldest continuously operated inns, opening its doors in the consequential year of 1776. It also has a long standing restaurant and wine bar.

The shoreline towns west of the Connecticut River to New Haven are connected by the Shoreline East Railway. This is also a pleasant way to visit New Haven and it’s incredible architecture and City Vibe!

Air-conditioned accommodations at this cottage offer fireplaces and DVD players. Accommodations are furnished with sofa beds, dining tables, and kitchen islands. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and cookware/dishes/utensils.

Bathrooms include bathtubs or showers and hair dryers. Additionally, rooms include coffee/tea makers and irons/ironing boards. Housekeeping is provided on request.
