Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location with exceptional staff. Not all of the windows have fly screens and there were numerous wasps and other flying insects outside. Because of this I did not feel comfortable to have the windows open, even during the recent heat wave. Appreciate that air conditioning units cannot be fitted due to the age and character of the building but fly screens should be achievable. There was a fan in the room and this helped for me but even so, my laptop got very hot and would not charge. Later when moved to a cool location, it was fine. I would love to visit again but probably not during a heat wave.

Great hotel! However, in August, with the hot weather, rooms were too hot, difficult to sleep in. Only a fan available. Check in closes at 9 and from then on there is a box, works well.

"Air conditioning did not work and we tossed and turned all night due to extreme heat. Our flight to Switzerland was canceled and rescheduled for 24 hours later. I called as soon as this happened but since less than 24 hours, I now have to deal with insurance since Hotel D charged us for the night ..."
