Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ottumwa by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"Great friendly and attentive staff at check in and during my stay. The breakfast was better than expected, except the pancake making didn't work. Love the days when Bacon was available.....LOVE LOVE LOVE BACAON. Room was clean and comfortable. Cleaned a few times during my week of stay, which was plenty. I would recommend this hotel"

His kindness, patience, and willingness to help made a real difference in our experience. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about guests and does everything possible to make their stay comfortable and stress-free. Victor is a great example of outstanding hospitality and customer service. Thank you, Victor, for all your help and support. You truly made our stay a much better experience! Best Western is lucky to have such a dedicated and wonderful team member. Highly recommended!"

The Artist's Secret Garden

8/10 Good

"Easy to find and check in. The apartment was historic, and the art was beautiful. The place was clean, felt like home immediately, was well maintained, and kitchen and bathroom amenities were bountiful. Internet wifi was fast (I had to upload large video files and did so quickly). I appreciated the communication prior to check in, and the written instructions and local tips in the host's guide book. Downtown was a quick 8 minute walk and very safe for female traveling alone. There are several great options for eating and shopping in the downtown area, including vegetarian food at the Mexican restaurant and Ethiopian lunch at the conference hall. The only complaint was the sound of a child running and jumping upstairs after 8:00 PM, which I would have expected if I had known a family with young children lived upstairs in the old house with wood floors. However, if one is used to that, it is a perfect stay!"

10/10 Excellent

"Everything was clean and set up for our arrival. The house had everything we could have needed if we had forgotten something. Beds were firm, which we loved, and comfortable! If we ever come back down this way we would definitely stay again!"
