Zoe and her friends always offer a warm welcome to you, and hope you enjoy our cosy and comfortable house Lemon Tree Patio, where you can spend endless relaxing days on the terrace. We all love Olvera and hope you will too!
we can help with anything from where to buy your milk and bread, to helping if you need something from the well stocked pharmacy! We are here to help.
New for 2025, Kitchen, Bathroom, room overlooking the patio, amazing new sun terrace. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths (1 en-suite, 2nd bathroom is just up the stairs)
excellent WI-FI, so please bring your devices /speakers , most people are happy if they want to watch something on their iPad - please note no TV.
This double fronted end of terrace property is set up from the road entered either by a few steps or at the other end the row by a ramp, on entering the house you have a open plan lounge , with sofa bed and reading area with books, magazines or somewhere to listen to music - please NOTE NO TV! But we do have excellent Wi-Fi if you would like to bring a tablet or iPad to watch a film !
We also have local information for you to look at and decide how you will spend your holiday and what activities are on offer in the local area, I am always available for any advise so please don’t be afraid to ask.
From this cosy lounge is the first of the two bedrooms, with window to the front of the property
Up a step to the lovely new ground floor bedroom en-suite, with a window to the garden, comfy bed and beautiful new bathroom with pretty tiles, there is also a door that leads to the private patio, perfect to enjoy your morning coffee.
Up the original old stairs leads you to the living spaces, a brand new bespoke kitchen with porcelain worktops and views to the sierras from the window, the light from the sunrises floods the kitchen with low level units for a feeling of light and space, this sunny kitchen has a fantastic high ceiling. From the hallway you have a full family bathroom with eco heater.
From the kitchen you have a few steps up to the sitting room, overlooking the patio, with large open patio window for light and a view of the patio.
Up again to the terrace with amazing views of the village and sierras, make sure you at least see one sunrise here!
The outside space is private and perfect for dining, sunbathing (there is a bed and recline chair under the stairs) and of course you have the fabulous Bougnavilla to sit under, there is a stone bench perfect for your morning cuppa, unfortunately the large lemon tree had to be removed recently, but we have replaced it with a small one, hopefully over the years she will grow bigger !
This house is perfectly equipped for holiday use, if you wish to stay longer than 2 weeks please give as much notice as possible, we may know of other places if our house is rented....Zoe also has another house if you are a family of 4-7 people just up the road! Please remember as we are close we can help with anything from where to buy your milk and bread, to helping if you need something from the well stocked pharmacy! We are here to help, and have lived in Olvera for over 20 years !
Please note this is a working white village , people go to work , children go to school and go past the house with their school bags, the gas man goes past in the afternoon crashing gas canisters and beeping as he goes, the breadman comes and parks outside at 8.30 am and beeps his horn, to allow all the neighbours to know he’s arrived with his fresh local bread (it’s fine to go out in your pjs to get fresh bread like the locals)
The bin truck goes past around 10-12pm every night, (you can hang your bin bags on the railings) please take note of the recycling nights) there are bins in the kitchen for recycling. The brown bin is for food waste and the green bin is for plastics or cardboard. Please note the magnet on the fridge for collection days. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me!
* Sometimes things get broken, that’s ok - just let me know - if something is broken on arrival please let me know asap so you don’t get charged for it.
* Please do not leave heaters on when you go out - or cover any with anything! It’s a fire hazard and dangerous for all.
The house has very good accessibility. You can usually park around the house, and if you can't there is plenty of parking close by, in Calle Almeria and Calle Francia - The Spanish don't mind if you park outside in the middle of the road, drop off anything / and or shopping or bags then move on to the nearest parking space. It’s normal so please don’t worry - they will honk if you’ve been too long, so just give them a smile and wave 👋🏼
* Please note parking is first come first served, don’t park in-front of anyone’s doors or indeed on the yellow lines and you’ll be fine!
* Parking in Calle Francia changes the side of the road on the 1st of the month so be careful you don’t get a ticket on the 1st if you park there!

The Costa del Sol is an hour and half away by car. Our favourite beaches are the Costa de La Luz - around an hour and half away. We love Conil de la Frontera with its huge stretches of white clean sand, perfect for the kids! Next door to Conil you have the beaches of El Palmer, a surfers’ paradise! Further south, Tarifa is the home of the windsurfers (lessons can be arranged!) and is about 2 hours’ drive from Olvera. Other nice beaches are found at Rota and the surrounding area. Picnics can be pre-booked.
Golf is within 45 mins of Olvera on good, easy access roads. Antequera and Arcos de la Frontera are both within easy reach and very popular with the locals. You also have the Costa del Sol golf courses in under an hour and a half.
Car hire is recommended, although if you don’t want to drive airport transfers can be arranged. We can even arrange for you to have an evening and/or day in Ronda, Zahara or other equally lovely places and collect you at a time of your choosing.
Airports: Malaga 90 mins by car, Granada 90 mins by car, Seville 90 mins by car, Jerez de la Frontera 70 mins by car, Gibraltar 120 mins by car. We can provide a number of a very reliable car hire companies with no waiting at the airport!
