Book Oranmore Bed & Breakfast

"Room was very clean. Not having a car, the hotel is conveniently accessible on foot to a great grocery store, several restaurants and pubs and bus stops. There were two of us with two suitcases but only one luggage rack. We lived out of our suitcases as there was no place (no dressers or shelves) to unload any of our clothing. We needed to use the small round table for the second suitcase. Plastic laundry bags would have been handy for our soiled clothing items. Although the half shower door is modern and attractive, it did not prevent water from escaping on to the floor. On the other hand, the water pressure and temps were amazing. Another hook, maybe on the back of the bathroom door and definitely a towel bar would be very helpful. Not accustomed to no wash/face cloths, when I inquired, I learned that the hotel does not provide them. Perhaps a few on hand for people like me would be good. Being a coffee drinker, the insant coffee packets were good and I appreciated the fresh milk 'pods' in the fridge for my American coffee. The weather was delightful and unusual for this time of year. We enjoyed use of the outside tables and chairs. The room however was stifling at times due to the unexpected warm temps. I asked a staff member to turn off the radiator which helped somewhat. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would return. **** "

"Hotel is close to the train station and the town square. It’s easily walkable to the Latin quarter, but nice to get away from all that activity when you want to end your night. Galway is a great town for music. Very fun place."

"Absolutely love love love this hotel. This was our second time staying here and will definitely be staying here every time we visit Ireland. The staff, food, drinks, and rooms are all fantastic. I can’t praise this place enough. Rooms are a perfect size, the property is beautiful, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are clean and also a great size. Zero complaints This is the place to go!"

"The only good thing I can say about The Dean is that their decor is nice. However the room despite being called “the cosy” is the smallest uncomfortable room I’ve ever seen. There’s hardly any room at all for your luggage, you’ll be tripping over everything just to go from one end to another. The parking is horrible. It may be a 2 min drive but it’s a 10 min walk, if you’re unable to park close then good luck with your luggage the walk has a decently steep hill to walk up from the parking garage to the hotel. The restaurant is unbearably hot and extremely overpriced. You can hear everything in the halls from your room so a good nights sleep is unlikely. Our bathroom though looked cute at first glance, was janky, the button to flush the toilet wasn’t secure and fell off every time you used it, tiles on the wall were busted, soap dispenser was wearing away and looked gross, the towel heater was broken and looked dangerous. Save yourself and literally stay anywhere else."

"Hotel is older, with older style and amenities. Rooms and communal areas were clean. It is located a bit outside of the city center and within about a 20-minute walk to the square. There is an onsite restaurant with bar. Breakfast buffet was nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. "
