The obly issue we had with staff was not coming to help at check in when Expedia didnt give us the code needed to check in. Had to go find staff to help check in. Supposed to be non contact. We chose this because its close to central station, and mid trip self seeve laundry

The property is very centrally located to the Karl Johans gate main drag, and has a tram line that has a stop just outside. The rooms are very small, and without air-conditioning, and not all the windows open. During our summer stay, it was warm, and we could only open 1 window which allowed the street noise to come in, so we slept with earplugs. If you're prepared it shouldn't be a problem! Otherwise we loved the amenities (the kitchen, the lounge areas, the gaming) and check-in/check-out was easy.

This was an adequate stay. Clean and comfortable beds. The lady working in the office was not enthusiastic to help. There was no airflow in the room as our window faced an internal courtyard.

Citybox Oslo was an economical choice for an expensive city. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff onsite were helpful. There was a nice restaurant next to the hotel and it was easy to take the tram or bus to explore this beautiful city. The only slight issue I had was not receiving the confirmation code in advance. I could not check in by myself but staff were available to help.

Could not sleep. Window faced some bar across the street where men gathered late into the night (3am) talking very loudly all week. Disengaged, unprofessional desk staff, seemed like a bunch of students, acted disturbed when asked a question. Facility does not look like the photos, more worn down and shabby. Some sketchy clientele, kind of a youth hostel feel.

My number 1 complaint is no personal service or check-in desk.It took me over 30 minutes to check-in. The check-in process involves going to a kiosk screen to enter your booking number. I did not receive a booking number from Citybox ( to be received via email or text prior to your arrival date).So I selected the help button on the screen. I did this 3 times and no employee for Citybox came to assist me. The machine gives you your keycard for further entrance into the hotel thus I could not go any further. So my husband only after gaining access by someone exiting the keycard entrance finally found an employee to assist. Positive note is the hotel location within 6 minutes of walking for train transportation and many restaurants. Rooms are small and simple.
