“When looking for options for this one-night stay, I had very little criteria (within budget, close to Paseo Milan and with off-street parking). I came across this location in the Palermo neighborhood for a very reasonable price. When I booked the stay, I was sent a message via Expedia with a link to pre-register. The online form was not terribly long but it required that I uploaded the front and back of my government issued ID. I completed the form about 15 minutes before arriving.

“I arrived Sunday evening and checked in. Was not provided a wi fi password and couldn’t reach the host. Monday morning we had a horrific earthquake and I ran out of the room. Maybe 6 hours later, I was told that they will have a different room ready for me. I was very concerned about going back into the building as it had significant structural damage.
