Generally Calypso property is nice. Pretty clean and staff nice. Tiki bar is awsome and beach is beautiful. Convenient to lots of things. The condo itself has issues. It was dirty upon arrival. I had to wash down the kitchen cabinets as dried ketchup, coffee drips, and other dried food stuck to it. I ran the vacuum as floor was pretty dirty. There were zero blankets in condo and we had to buy some at target. Bathrooms were dirty and I cleaned it. All around the baseboards it looked like hadn’t been really cleaned in a long time. This is first condo we rented that didn’t provide any beach towels. The kitchen had very few items. 3 plastic dollar tree boxes was for cereal isn’t enough. There were 4 spoons and 4 forks for a condo that held 6 ppl. Nice coffeemaker though. We were to be out by 8am which is an hour earlier than others we rented. At approximately 8:15 the code for the door quit working so to load to leave one of us had to stay in unit to get back in for getting everything out. I don’t think we’ll be requesting to rent this unit again.

Disappointed.

Condo at a nice property. Great location. Condo was not clean. Literally piles of sand in rooms. Rugs and furniture visibly stained and dirty. Sand everywhere. Not sure was even cleaned. We used 2 vacuums in the unit but neither worked. View was great, but would look elsewhere in future.

Perfect location. Needs some updates and cleaned better

The location was absolute perfection. The condo itself would get 5 stars if it weren't for the cleanliness issue and updates necessary. The double toaster was broken, mold on ice dispenser tray,bathroom ventilation,and rubber plug for bathtub. Broken floor tiles stubborn sliding glass on bedroom exit to balcony and shade in bunk room thay wouldnt close if openwe . The couch cushions were horribly stained and the dryer needs a good cleaning as it took 2 cycles to dry anything. We would stay there again in this place but it would be wonderful if the owner vould come and persoanlly see to upkeep on this until to make it great again. Also update the photos which are olopened. Not bad. Not great

Room was pretty dirty. Visibly dirty furniture and floors. No remote in kids room for tv so couldnt use. A lot of broke Floor tiles. Very dirty A/C return vent. Good location within walking distance to pier park. Easy check in process.

Basic needs were met

I have been staying in various condos at PCB for about 30 years and this unit needed the most work out of any I have stayed in. It met our basic needs and we enjoyed our vacation, but we would not rent this one again. The good: Great location near Pier Park, came with 2 free beach chairs. The bad: The condo unit itself needs a lot of work and updates. The floor tiles are cracked, the living room furniture is filthy, the wood furniture throughout is beat up and peeling. Mattress of hide away bed with yellow stains and blood stains. Gross. I was scared to check the other mattresses so I did not. Mold around vents in master bedroom. Overhead light of master did not work. Shower curtain in master bath ripping and falling apart. Poor water pressure in showers. Random artwork frame on the wall but nothing in the frame. Weird. Only a couple of glasses in the kitchen… mostly water goblets and wine glasses. No regular spoons, only serving spoons. The bedroom with the bunks is tiny and has no closet. It was not big enough for 2 teens to stay in, so one slept on the hide away bed, which was nasty. There was a tv in each room but no remote and no way to turn on the tv in the bunk room. Again, met basic needs but not worth the price paid compared to my other PCB experiences over the years.

Beautiful veiw

Veiw was awesome, floors were nasty and very slick felt like some kind of grease and your feet were black walking around in condo. The showers were so slick you had to hold on so you didnt fall

Great Location

We absolutely loved the location of Calypso. It’s in walking distance of Pier Park. The condo was nice but there are definitely some improvements that need to be done. The master bathroom shower curtain was two liners held together with four rings. It was flimsy and falling apart. The tub stopper also had black mold. Not ideal when you had three kids that would have liked to take baths instead of showers. The dishwasher held water the entire time. It would run but the water would never drain out of it. There was also no oven mitts to be found in the kitchen. We cooked a few times while staying here and had to improvise. The tile in the hallway was also cracked and you could literally hear it cracking each time you walked over it. The patio furniture could use an upgrade too. A table out there would have been nice. Overall we really did enjoy our stay. The majority of stuff I mentioned is cosmetic and I hope gets fixed in the future.

Best location!

We love Calypso. This exact room wasn’t my favorite. I WILL say though- I reached out to ECD and complained about our awful pans, toaster (that almost set our condo on fire), and coffee maker. Within a few hours, someone brought over new pans, a new keurig, fixed the garbage disposal, and a new toaster. There were still a few other minor issues, but overall, the stay was okay. We love Calypso and the location!

Great location

We are repeat customers of Calypso. It is conveniently located next to Pier Park and with children we visit there often. The condo was located on the 9th floor so perfect in elevation to see the ocean but still low enough to not have to wait on elevators. The floors in the condo didn’t appear to be cleaned as I would have expected when we arrived. The vacuums in the laundry room need to be replaced, I tried vacuuming but it wasn’t picking up anything. The master shower would get clogged up easily, we pulled a lot of hair and hair ties out of the drain (hair that was not ours).

Unsatisfied

The front door lock broke. We had people trapped inside the unit and out. It would not open either way. Tried calling the emergency number. They told us not one could come until the next day at 5:00 pm. We used a credit card to get the door open. The unit was not clean. Enjoyed Panama City, but not the unit.

Great place.

We enjoyed our stay. I often see comments about the cleanliness of the condo. I felt it was on par with what should be expected during high renting season and guests in and out. Views were great. We had plenty of room and kitchen suplies. Beds were comfy. Check out process was super simple. We had all instructions before we went and had no issues with check in or parking. It is a busy area so be prepared for that and to have patience. We had a great time and enjoyed the condo!

Great time!

This is our 3rd time staying at Calypso, and it was as wonderful as always! Condo was spacious, owner was attentive, no unexpected issues. We’ll be back!

Beautiful view but would not stay again

The view from the balcony is beautiful. The cleanliness of the condo was very disappointing. There was actually popcorn on the living room floor when we arrived, the walls and baseboards are also very dusty and dirty. The furniture looked dirty and needs a good cleaning. I did request special attention to be paid to the cleaning prior to our arrival due to allergies, but that didn’t appear to have happened so I didn’t bother reaching out after our arrival. The layout is nice and there is plenty of space, the balcony is great and the tiki bar was fabulous. Due to the lack of cleanliness I would NOT stay in this unit again.

Not cleaned well

We actually had to go buy cleaning supplies before we could stay. Mold and dirt in both shower heads, , had to clean the bath tub in 2nd bedroom , also that bedroom had urin in the floor in front of sink cabinet, The light in the 2nd bed flickered off? On, dim, when it was supposed to be open . The sdisheasher had crud in bottom of dishwasher drain . I had family with Mae and expected a fun time at the beach, which we did, after we cleaned the room , and mead already been charged cleaning fees .( I did take photos of anyone wants to see them . felt like we got ripped off in that part, Othman that , we had a great family vacation
