"Kapama Southern is amazing! I loved everything about it - the Villa was beautiful, the animals roaming free, the food was delicious, but I especially I loved the people who worked there. Titus and Elliot were an amazing Driver/Tracker duo and made sure we got to see some amazing animals, including a leopard eating in a tree. "The place is beautiful, no doubt, and if you want a quiet get away then this is for you. I did find the roads and lighting around the estate to be rundown somewhat, and that I feel is not good. Everything else is truly beautiful."

"We had no idea what to expect for our two nights and man were we happy with what we found. A safari before and after our safari - the property sits in a reserve!! The hosts are incredible and helpful. Local restaurants were fantastic. Rooms are great - breakfast outstanding - while watching the wildlife! "Mdluli is a lovely property right inside the Numbi gate of the park. The tents are large and comfortable, with new furnishings and well designed. The facilities are lovely--a nice bar/restaurant, great pool, and access to game drives are great. The staff is pleasant and hard working, always with smiles and kind words. Food was high quality and lots of variety. We only stayed 1 night but would definitely consider Mdluli for a longer stay at the park. Highly recommend. "

"The location is wonderful with game regularly visiting the river from the Kruger opposite. When we arrived, about a dozen elephant were wading across and hippo were wallowing. The rooms each have their own private terraces where fires are lit each night, and open up into a lovely common area where birds and the 3 incumbent nyala are encouraged. "When we arrived we had food in the sister lodge next door 2 mins walk away but it was stunning. Braai buffet style. Then had dinner and breakfast as Muluwa on our last night as it was reopened with new management. Absolutely perfect. Cannot fault it. We paid for a couple of the excursions. The sunset picnic was lovely. Whole day game drive was SO worth it with our lovely guide Liza. And massages were so good. This place really felt like a relaxing perfect start to our trip in SA. "We arrived just as it was about to start raining. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lunch in the River Cafe was quick and delicious and then we went for our Spa treatment. The heavens opened just as our treatment began, and it was so relaxing hearing the rain drop down on the canvas while we were having one of our best treatments ever. Our room was just as per the fotos, beautiful, with exceptional quality linen. We also spent some quality time in the bath overlooking the forest. ...

"Our stay at this property was beyond a dream, our room was quiet, in the middle of nature. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs and more. "The game lodge provides a great lion, cheetah and elephant experience as these are easier for the rangers to find due to telemetry. Leopard and Rhino can be fairly elusive and you can very likely leave not experiencing the big 5 as was the case in my instance. The accommodation is very clean however not as modern as expected. Staff are fairly friendly and accommodating. The lodge is fairly well situated to get to the Kruger National Park as well as, God's Window and Potholes. "

"Lovely deluxe tent with a spectacular view. No luck tho and staff was unseen for the entire stay. Pool was very dirty and restaurant was close. The tent was great tho and we loved the area."

"We hired 2 chalets' no's 528 & 529. 528 was in good shape but 589 was not. The master bedroom carpets were dirty and the chalet needed painting. We paid for half board but found the food generally very poor. Breakfast was OK with eggs cooked while you waited, the sausages and bacon were good but there was little fresh fruit. The evening meal starters were poor, those which should have been hot were cold and the roast was generally overcooked. The facilities this resort offers are...

"The cleaning at this property is done superficially. They need to do a deep clean as there is dirt in the corners, smell from the sheets and blanket, dust on applicances and slime in the kettle. There was a service door to the bathroom which isn't itself a problem, but I could smell cigarette smoke coming through every so often in the morning."
