Hotel de Vendome

1 Place Vendôme, Paris 75001 - Map
"Quiet elegance in the heart of Paris"
The Hotel de Vendome is located at 1 Vendome Place, placing it within easy walking distance of the most stylish shopping and both the Tuilleries Gardens and the Louvre. Whether you are just an avid window shopper or in search of the best hot chocolate in Paris, it is all there at your fingertips. When you return back to the hotel, a gracious staff awaits you along with a dining room that makes the best cappuccino in town. The rooms are quiet, clean and beautifully appointed. All amenities are first class, from the soaps to the mini bar to the traveler's sewing kit. We were in town for some business that required odd hours and the 24 hour room service was a factor in our choice to stay there. I preceded my husband's arrival by a few days, so the security of both the area and the hotel itself were also factors. It is a very safe area and I felt very comfortable going out alone for dinner at night to a restaurant right across the street. We have stayed at a number of other 5 star hotels in Paris and I believe we have found our new favorite.

"Best hotel in Paris"
We visit Paris annually, sometimes twice per year for business and pleasure. We love the entire city and visit as much as possible, but prefer to stay in this area of the city. Vibrant, excellent restaurants and other attractions within 100s of meters.

We loved this hotel! Pleasant and attentive staff. Central location for nice walks to Louvre, Notre Dame, D'Orsay, Arc de Triomphe, etc. We enjoyed relaxing at the bar each evening. We will return! Au Revoir.

"Recommendable Good Location."
The hotel was a bit more outdated than the photos. Decor and furniture-wise, it gave you a different (not eerie) feel and that was okay. But I did not like the old worn bed, specially on the side i slept on. We were there to see Paris and we were on-the-go all the time. The nights were times when we re-charged and rested for the next day's itinerary and expected to sleep well. The worn out bed was uncomfortable and can't help but wonder if we could've found a better place. There was also construction on the street so we didn't quite get a feel for the area. We liked the Monoprix across the street, the metro nearby, boulangerie also across and the restaurants around the area. Our check-in and out interaction with the hotel staff was pleasant. Concierge and staff were nice. Overall I would recommend but caution regarding the bed.

Novotel Paris Les Halles

8 Place Marguerite De Navarre, Paris 75001 - Map
I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Novotel Paris Les Halles! The staff was super friendly and helpful in any way possible. I actually got to the hotel way earlier than the check in time of 2 pm. The receptionist was very kind enough to check if they even had any rooms there for us to check in and THANKFULLY they did. There was one room available and we definitely needed it. Our flight landed at 8 am and we got there around 10:30 am-11 am, so we were lucky that there was a room available for us to rest to adjust to the time difference. The other receptionists were really friendly as well and oh so helpful when giving directions. They were just so nice and never seemed like we were bothering them. The rooms were really clean and was not dirty at all. We felt super comfortable there..home away from home in another country. The WIFI was easily accessible and can connect up to 5-6 devices for one room. My only downside would be the food. They had the same options of food every single day and after 6 days, you got kind of tired of eating the same thing. It was just more convenient for us to eat breakfast there (it was included) at 6 am before we start our day because there is tons of walking to be done in Paris. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. It was in a great location, pretty much the center of everything tourist-y that you want to do. They also just built a shopping center/mall type thing, Forum des Halles, which is pretty cool also. I would definitely come back there again.

"Great location for pristine and roomy apart'hotel"
We were a group of 3 ladies staying in Paris for a couple of days. The hotel is located Quai des Augustins, central location in Paris, within a stone throw of great restaurants ( not tourist traps), shops, museums and monuments. We were greeted by Cecilia who checked us in rapidly. Our suite consisted of a bedroom, a bathroom, a restroom and a living room with a kitchenette. In the living room the sofa can be made into 2 comfortable twin beds. We felt we had plenty of room. I will definitely stay there next time.

"Good Location Close to Subway"
Easy to get to and from the hotel. Older building and small room, but quite functional. Very helpful staff. Reasonably quiet area and room. Fortunately the room was on the first half floor, so it wasn't necessary to use the one-person size elevator, from which we would have had to walk down half a flight of stairs from anyway.
