I booked this hotel specifically so my companion and I could use the hot tub and hang out for a night before a conference. We live nearby in Salt Lake City, so a hotel wasn't needed but was meant to be a getaway to relax. When we went to find the pool area, we found out it was closed for cleaning. At no point during booking, pre-arrival, or check-in were we informed that the pool was closed. This was disappointing and had I known, would have likely found another local hotel. In addition, around 11:30 pm, the guests next door to us arrived. They had a baby and apparently some kind of lullaby machine to help the baby sleep, which was on all night. We had adjoining rooms, and unfortunately could hear EVERYTHING through the door since there was very little soundproofing. I could see their light from under the door, so clearly there was no way it could be soundproof. I barely slept, even with earplugs and a pillow over my ear. The hotel was clearly quite empty that night, so it was disappointing that they would put anyone in a room next door. I did not attempt to ask for a room change since it was so late, so I cannot speak to whether the hotel staff would have been accommodating. My advice: be sure when you check in that you aren't in a room that adjoins to another! Otherwise, the hotel is well-appointed, rooms are nice, and front desk staff were very friendly. A nice touch included a s'mores kit to cook over the fire outside, and a free shuttle into town.
