There were some mice running about and we did find droppings in the bed, although the house was otherwise very clean and well appointed. We would have liked some coffee left in the cabinet at least for the first morning and the bedroom could use some hooks for clothes or coats. "Beautiful property and ideal for a family or a group of friends. Very peaceful and the location is great for exploring the region. "We had a terrific stay at Patrice and Armelle's Gite. The hosts have large hearts and gave us a whole basket full of excellent local nuts. We were welcomed very warmly and kindly although we arrived late and Armelle helped us with all that we needed, including the rental and application of bedsheets. The property rustic with huge amount of character. It is in a very rural quiet setting but within an easy drive of places of interest in the Dordogne and Vezere valleys. Would definitely recommend if traditional is what you are after."

A short walk up the hill brought us to a lovely village and church which was beautiful.Follow the yellow signs in the village for a lovely circular walk back to the property via a bar, shop and cafe."

The House is situated in the very well kept village of Capdrot and only a 5 minute drive to the lovely old town of Monpezzier ( which is deffinatly worth a visit on thursdays which is Market day).
