"Highly recommended quiet hotel between Santiago city center and the airport. Although, at first, it may seem that the hotel is a bit out of town, there is an excellent public bus service which stops right across the street and for €1 pp you will bevat the airport or downtown Santiago in no time. We had a great stay at Akelarre Hotel and found its location to be perfect for our travel needs while exploring the area. Alfonso was a great host , helpful, patient and provided us with useful information to get around."

"I was the only person staying at this hotel which was a bit disconcerting as it really is in thr middle of nowhere - about 1.3 km off the camino. But it is excellent. The staff could not have been nicer, and more accommodating. Even though i was the only person staying, they still put out the full dinner and breakfast buffet. I was treated like a king! If you want somewhere truly rural, a bit off the camino (i walked back to it the next day in 25 mins), this is an interesting, unique, peaceful place. Tamara who works there cooks, cleans, does reception - everything. She is a star."
