The room was comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped. Should we be back in Ambleside we will certainly book again. Location is also perfect and although the property does not have dedicated parking there are plenty of overnight options very close by."

"Helpful friendly staff, the room was reasonably clean but sadly one or two large cobwebs had been missed. Breakfast and evening meals were very good."

"Didn’t pay the extra £15 per person in order to use the pool - that’s extortionate when you are already a resident! Facilities looked nice however. Decor of whole hotel lovely. Waiter Joe was really good in the evening. Room suffers from road noise if you have to have the window open (it was hot!) - understandable as it is very convenient to the M6 junction."

"The room and bathroom were clean, Not a complaint but the shower was a bit small, if you're on the larger side of life you might find it difficult. Shower gel and soap was all vegan too. The owners were friendly and helpful, gave me some good advice on places to get food on the evening. I stayed for 1 night and it was perfect. Breakfast was tasty, perfect for a vegan and set me up for the day. I'd definitely stay again"
