"We had the most wonderful time with our family of 3 generations from New Zealand, Australia and England. The weather was perfect ,the beautiful pool enjoyed by everyone. The forest was enjoyed by us all especially our eldest son from NZ who did the forest walk daily to the Boulangerie for our fresh baguettes and croissants . Michel and Brigette were the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome . Their property is beautifully maintained and we all agreed that it was a real privilege to holiday...

"We had a great stay at the villa this August. The villa is very clean and has all the amenities that you could require. Our children loved the pool which was heated and undercover so we did not have to worry about them getting sunburnt. Plenty to do in the surrounding areas. A highlight was the ability to order bread and pastries each morning to be delivered to the villa. Although there was a slight language barrier with the hosts, they were always quick to reply to us and were very nice helpful...

"We spent an enjoyable week at this lovely gite which is an ideal place if you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil holiday. Christine was the perfect host and made sure we were made welcome in this beautifully presented gite. The pool was cleaned every day and we really appreciated swimming as we had very hot weather for most of our stay. We spent many an evening outside on the patio enjoying watching the sun go down. "I had a wonderful stay at Sophie & Craig’s gîte. The thing that made it was the warm welcome from Sophie & Craig. It was January and so, cold, but Sophie would bring me a wheelbarrow full of logs for the wood-burning stove every morning! My dog, Jack, played happily in the garden and it was perfect for him, with lots of walks. All in all, a great stay!"

"This house is situated brilliantly for a rural holiday in France with great local towns, a near lake and lots of choice for restaurants within a short drive. We loved the terrace where we ate every day shaded by a glorious vine. The owners lived next door and were very helpful. Sadly when we were there they were not offering diner."

"Very comfortable house in a lovely spot (only slight difficulty is the spiral staircase - which could be tricky for some). Especially good if you like fishing with a beautiful lake right outside the front door. Surroundings are extremely quiet and peaceful with plenty of nice walks in the area. Host’s really nice and friendly and helpful. Would certainly go back."

"Absolutely fantastic. A hidden gem not far from Jumilhac, everything was so clean and tidy, stars at night were amazing. Wonderful friendly host.. I would definitely recommend this perfect place and I would go there again."

"Stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely apartment- part of a classic French property with a garden and private pool. Although secluded the property is less than 10 minutes drive to Brantome with its many good restaurants and market. Some fine walks in the local area as well. Our hosts, Sandra and Alun, were very helpful about places to visit and great company over a glass or two of wine. We cannot recommend this property or location highly enough."
