I grew up on a lake nearby...and Kezar Lake reminded me of how rustic and undeveloped Lake Sunapee was in the 1960s. The Follansbee Inn has true charm and is located right on the lake. The owners were low key and charming, and the breakfasts were fabulous.

Very nice property. Would be great to have coffee in the rooms. Also very limited hot water. Ran out a few times even after a quick shower.

Tammy, the assistant inn keeper and restaurant manager was fantastic. She was attentive to every need. The restaurant staff was phenomenal as well highly recommend, it’s a little hidden gem off the beaten path. I will definitely return. Had a fabulous time.

1st - no dishes, silverware or cookware is included with your kitchenette. The property does have some they'll sell you. Housekeeping is only every 4th day, including trash removal. That being said, the room layout was excellent, none of that wasted space that drives you crazy when you can't turn around in the bathroom. The air conditioning was on when we got there (90+ temps that day). Its a newer property but we did have issues the door latch and no maintenance person on site. It was clean and tidy but might have the slowest elevator I've ever been in. Luckily there are only 3 floors. Overall, not a bad stay.

We truly enjoyed the Stone Hearth Inn. We stayed after an event about a half hour away. The Inn was cozy, decorated tastefully with cozy white coaches and antiques and wide plank flooring. The room was air conditioned , the bed was comfy and had everything we needed in the bathroom. We enjoyed speaking with the owner at breakfast and hearing her story. Just a few minutes from town and a great place. We enjoyed the breakfast but, unfortunately , weren’t staying long enough to try lunch or dinner at the eatery (run by CIA graduate). Next time!
