“We had a great stay at Family Batcave Homestay. It felt like a more authentic experience. Our host was lovely. He gave us a tour with his wife, or he organized for us to visit a variety of sites in and around Battambang. Plus, the food was great. I highly recommend it. ”

“Very peaceful and friendly hotel, in a quiet area but easily accessible to the town. Lake side rooms have a shady terrace on the side. Food was tasty and good value, dining around the pool was pretty and staff were helpful. We borrowed some bikes and enjoyed the ride using sideroads into town, around pagodas, to coffee shops etc”

“The hotel was cute! The rooms were nice, the landscaping around the hotel was nice. Staff was great as was the breakfast. The owners are around and make the place feel very homey and warm. Adding plug in outlets, especially in the bathroom would be very helpful. Please note that the hotel is a bit secluded, you can't just walk out to the store...but I was looking for peace and quiet and that is exactly what I got. ”

“The pool was closed off for a meeting however this was all throughout our trip. Nobody was in this area when we went to the pool and we were not allowed to use this. Communication was poor and all items needed to be asked about nothing was in the room I.e shampoo, toilet roll etc. Location is further out from city but short TukTuk ride away. Ac was not working as we had incorrect remote in room and the fridge was dirty and turned off without key in room. ”

“This time unfortunately I was put in a room that backed on to a nightclub, earplugs are provided but they don’t make for a good nights sleep. I managed to doze off once the club closed early morning. At first glance it looks lovely, but on closer inspection it could really use a bit of TLC. The bed linen, sun loungers, and towels are all showing their age. It seems like it was once very busy, but maintenance has fallen behind, leaving things feeling a little tired.”

“A new hotel means everything was new. Shower was good, huge bathtub was a plus. Smell from drainage needs to be taken care of. Breakfast was ok but not great. Staff members were very attentive and went great lengths to help.”

“This is a perfectly serviceable hotel, and a good value. Unlike some of the other spots in town, this one doesn't have a pool or a sky bar; it's relatively low frills. But it was quiet, the staff was courteous and there was plenty of hot water for a bath. Best of all, the laundry service was cheap, fast and reliable. I'd definitely stay here again.”

“This is a difficult review to write as we never actually got to stay. The UK and over governments put an ‘essential travel only’ notice on the Battambang area due to a border dispute between Thailand and Cambodia. We tried to cancel our reservation, the hotel ghosted us, Expedia just went into ‘computer says no’ mode. The position Expedia took was that they were happy to take our money knowing full well we would be on our own and uninsured if we had chosen to travel. A very poor……

“Resort ist kein Resort :( kein Restaurat wie beschrieben :( Kein Frühstück wie versprochen :( kein Begrüßungsgetrenk :( keine Erholung - ständige Hochzeitsfotos in Gang zur Rezeption :( Hotel Bar war zu :( an der Rezeption sprichte niemand englisch :( - Enttäuschung PUR !!! nicht zu empfehlen !!!”

“房間很差，根本稱不上4星，最基本清潔就不夠，床頭有灰塵，床單也粗粗的，廁所也很糟，洗髮跟洗澡的兩瓶，上面的標示都糊掉了，看不出來哪瓶是哪種，而且其中ㄧ瓶已經壓不出來，毛巾也舊舊的，而我們的浴缸是在外面，僅用ㄧ塊布遮其中ㄧ側，另兩邊完全沒有遮，而旁邊就是民宅，誰敢洗，窗簾更不用說，根本沒辦法遮，因為床簾布不夠，有空隙，都覺得很沒隱私，泳池看起來也髒髒的，最妙的是廁所淋浴間，上頭有個燈必須靠感應，所以超過ㄧ個時間，就自己熄，很可怕，洗ㄧ半突然熄燈，雖然不算很暗是還看的到，但挺嚇人就是。唯一覺的服務人員態度不錯，也會打招呼，值得鼓勵。”

“Peaceful, in nature, the property was perfect for me. The family was welcoming and helpful, the home cooked meals excellent, flavourful and great value...I loved the coffee too! My bungalow was spacious and had everything I needed..( electrical outlets, lights, ceiling fan and even WiFi! Simple life at its best.”
