Lovely hotel with a real feel for everyone being part of a large family and a lovely quiet spot. There are individual bungalows and semi detached bungalows all made of sound structure. The pool is really eye catching especially in the evening when they turn on the colourful lights under water. All meals were very good and if you like chilli you are sorted, however, if like me you cannot take chilli they will try their best to cater for your needs to my delight. I understand fish of the day is going to be displayed for the season Only 5 minutes walk to the nearest beach which is the best on the island. I know because I have been to every inch of the island. Lovely fine sand, also rocks off one end if you prefer and the bay is a cracker. Not many people about but if you want the party life the larger hotel complexes, only a few, do cater for this. The beach was extremely clean with beach cleaners about every 30 minutes to make sure it stayed that way - different to the reports I had read. Outside this area the beaches were pretty bad with rubbish. There is no coral or colourful fish here in profusion but there is a strip of rocks just off the beach which you can swim to quite easily and is well worth investigating. It is a really good spot to investigate the rest of the island which is about 40 kilometers long, this being around half way. It is off the main road so not very noisy with traffic. The village also has other fresh fish restaurants to try.
Pros: The atmosphere was so lovely that we did not want to leave.
Cons: I always have problem with all hotel breakfast times. English or Vietnamese included in price here. Great if you're up - but we are on holiday!
Location: Main city - 20 minutes by scooter. Bus is on main road about 5/10 minutes walk. Pearl factory, prison camp,
crocodile factory, fishing villages
