Vietnam Hotel & Resort Travel Guide

Vietnam is graced with breathtaking national parks, a ravishing coastline, dynamic cities, verdant mountains, and a vibrant culture that makes it a true delight for travelers to discover.

Most visitors start their trip by booking Vietnam hotels in Hanoi, the capital city that blends the history and chicness of old Asia with a new dynamic face. The city is quickly evolving, but you can still get a great sense of the Vietnamese identity in the tangled webs of streets. There is plenty to see in Hanoi, including the Parisian-inspired architecture in the French Quarter and Old Quarter, the wondrous Temple of Literature, and the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh.

The city is very affordable compared to other major urban metropolises in Asia, and you can find many cheap hotel deals in Vietnam that offer rooms at reasonable rates. That same affordability also extends to restaurants, and you can feast on delectable dishes like pho, sizzling cha ca, crispy banh xeo, and garlicky rau muong for low prices at some of the top restaurants in the country.

Outside of Hanoi, some of the best hotels in Vietnam are located in Ho Chi Minh City, once known as Saigon. Today, it is the country's largest and most capitalist city, but it also played an essential role in the fight for independence. This importance is reflected in sites like the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace.

Book special Vietnam hotel deals in Ho Chi Minh City so that you have more to spend at the bustling Ben Thanh Market. Since the 17th century, the market has been the place to go for people watching and finding great deals on artisan crafts, textiles, and clothing. Don't be afraid to haggle – you may just get a special discount on the handmade wares.

Tourism is slowly growing in the highland town of Bac Ha, making it a great place to book a cheap Vietnam hotel deal and escape the tourist crowds that sometimes choke Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Far calmer than the larger cities, Bac Ha is known for its weekend markets, outlandish Vua Meo palace, and traditional restaurants that serve up tall glasses of the local moonshine.

Find Vietnam hotel packages and make reservations at a hotel in the Mekong Delta to experience some of the most lush and charming environments in Vietnam. Quaint towns dot the riverbanks, floating markets wind down the waters, the local orchards drip with exotic fruits, and white-sand beaches and impressive Khmer pagodas are just a short drive away.

Excellent five star hotel; however less accomodating (for example extremely high price for late check out) then other hotels I've been to in Vietnam or nearby countries.

"Very comfortable for short business trip"
I had to make a quick business trip to Saigon and found the Rex to be perfect. All amenities were clean and easily accessible. The hotel is centrally located so my clients had no trouble finding me. The rooms were very comfortable and i got a lot of work done there. Beds and linens were very comfortable and I slept well. There is construction going on for the new subway system so it can be a little noisy when you are outside or in the lobby but I had no problems inside my room. The wifi is a little spotty at times but no worse than in other hotels I have stayed in the city. The only true complaint I have is with the room service menu. I wish it had more selections. I was up late a lot and wished they just had a good soup but it is a lot of heavy food which surprised me. On the upside, the french fries are fantastic!

Wonderful hotel centrally located in Hanoi with decent Wifi. Very little traffic noise (on 7th floor). Staff were very polite & friendly. Definitely one of the best hotels we stayed in during our 12 days in Vietnam.

"Historic luxury hotel in the heart of Hanoi"
Very comfortable hotel, but everything costs at least 3x what it does outside. $120 massage at the hotel spa was not as good as $30 massage at a very nice spa in the Old Quarter. Restaurants in the hotel also at least 3x the cost for nothing special. Most meat cooked at the hotel was over done and dry. My advise: eat all meals out of the hotel. We wanted to see the bomb shelter recently re-discovered so joined the daily tour. What we thought would be a 15 minute peek inside (enough) turned out to be a 1 hour + discourse on the Vietnam war. The guide was very enthusiastic, but needed lots of attention from everyone. It was grueling, but we felt guilty leaving a few minutes early at the end because he seemed to take it personally. My advise: don't do the tour without knowing what you are getting yourself in to.
