However, room was not comfortable. It had no windows, so when I woke up, I did not know if it was 3am or 10am. The bathroom had a smell which the exhaust fan couldn't get rid of. Bed was extremely hard. Rooms are not sound-proof, so can hear other guests coming through the hotel at all hours of the night and the karaoke next door. No elevator, so had to take stairs, which was fine, but the top step of each staircase was steeper than the other steps, so had to remember that time I took the stairs to avoid an accident. At the end of the day, this accommodation is very reasonably priced, so you get what you pay for. However, I believe it needs upgrading i.e. the television (tv) is still cathode ray tube (CRT) type; analog airconditioning system; no partition between shower and toilet; etc. Though, I like that it has plenty of cabinets and tables. Services need improvement. We reported that the tv in our room is not working, and it was not fixed. Also, we have reserved a locker in the ground floor, which we did not use on our first day. Roar Inn was a great overall experience for a simple stay in Phuket. The staff were all very helpful and always welcoming us with smiles.
