But that’s where it ends. We stayed in what was called the “modern” suite, a kitsch and garishly designed suite that was a far cry from “modern” in today’s standards. Where it really fell short was the experience and service. Originally opting for Sisu around the corner, we felt we should dine at the restaurant given we were staying as guests and that we could support this local establishment. A wonderfull traditional style small boutique hotel, with suberb service. The dinner was fabulous, as was the breakfast. Highly recommended for couples! Definitely a good deal considering the price paid for the room. The breakfast is amazing. Definitely better than staying in some anonymous hotel/motel in the area. Lovely deep bathtub, a chandelier in the bedroom and the bathroom. I felt a bit like Marie Antoinette lazing about Versailles! Big sumptuous bed. Beautifully appointed and all the little extras were fabulous such as a complimentary glass of wine which was much appreciated after four days of walking the Queen Charlotte track.
