You are close to historic Placerville, wineries, hiking, bike trails. Historic Placerville has fun shops and restaurants. Getting Around: Several wineries are minutes away. Bring the kids to Apple Hill just 3 miles up the road. Year round family friendly activities at local farms and orchards. This is also a great stop on your way to the slopes in Tahoe. The property is in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful views, and it's perfectly located—just minutes from downtown and close to several wineries. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the tools we needed, which made cooking easy and enjoyable. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free.The only downside was the mattresses—they weren’t very comfortable and could use an upgrade. The HVAC units took a little while to learn but worked just fine. Parking situation is right below the unit and convenient. In a quiet neighborhood. Nice touch on the welcome basket. Check in was not a good experience as the code was other than we had been told and a cleaning lady had to let us in. It took quite a while to find out what the actual code was.Check in is way too late...4 o'clock. No hotel or VRBO should expect you to wait until the day is almost over before checking in. It should be 3 o'clock and no later. Towels were put up wet in the linen closet, so I had to put them in the dryer, which is no big deal...just odd.The bed and linens were not of high quality but we slept okay. Bath had stick on plastic hooks for towels...no towel bars or places to hang hand towels anywhere. Just overall, not the best experience. ##### Patsy H.
