You'll be spoiled for sightseeing choice when in The Hague Center. Plein 1813 is a good place to start here, but there are numerous other interesting attractions to enjoy. Scheveningen Pier, Madurodam, and Peace Palace are close to the place of remembrance and will fill in your day nicely.

For a 3 star hotel everything was as expected and value for money. Would have been great if there was at least one USB charger in the room. The coffee replenishment for the room was sadly lacking. Basically everything was very clean, staff were extremely helpful, but the rooms were very "tired". On a real positive, although the hotel was located outside of Amsterdam City Centre, the Bus 18 from Central Station went directly to the hotel from Central Station. Again the journey was 40 mins but they were every 10 mins!
