My 80-year old parents were visiting from AZ for a week, so we chose this location since they enjoyed it a couple years ago. One important amenity factored into the decision was the full breakfast, which is easy and convenient for them. However, upon check-in they were told that due to staff shortages, their "full breakfast" was to be a voucher for McDonald's located across a VERY busy 4 lane state highway! First, they NEVER dine at McD's due to dietary restrictions and the notorious low nutrient content and poor quality of their food. They hadn't rented a car but also hadn’t planned to need to cross Hwy. 99W EVERY morning on foot to get this loose definition of a "full" breakfast. Additionally, a MUCH better, reasonably-priced restaurant, Biscuits Cafe, offering true "full breakfasts" was in the same shopping center as McD's! Apparently, it was considered too nice to offer guests a voucher there instead?! Couldn’t BW work out a deal with them instead of cheap McD’s?! This was a huge disappointment and inconvenience for my parents, who felt their only option was to bundle up against the cold Oregon morning air and spend extra money each day at Biscuit's Café just to get a decent, healthy breakfast. The "full breakfast" advertised was a LIE, and the audacity of BW management to think McD's is a viable, convenient substitute was a cheapskate, inconsiderate deception! We've all passed this on to friends and family and eventually will add to YELP.
