Nestled within the historic grounds of Fort McKinley on Great Diamond Island, this charming rental property offers a unique blend of coastal living and rich heritage. This home was the former Pump House for the fort, the structure is unique on the island, with its 50 foot chimney. Surrounded by the tranquil waters of Casco Bay and nestled next to old-growth forest, the property promises a serene retreat amidst nature's embrace.  
 A short walking distance from the ferry dock, restaurants and activity centers.  
  
The rental property stands as a testament to the island's rich past, boasting a distinguished brick exterior that exudes timeless elegance amidst the meticulously preserved structures of Fort McKinley. Surrounded by towering old-growth trees, the property offers a secluded atmosphere perfect for reconnecting with nature. #### Beautiful Home on Lovely Island

Great home for our multigenerational family with accommodating room options for everyone, from couples to kids to older family members that need a ground level room. The kitchen was wonderful for the cooks in the family and the big table in the great room was perfect for meals and games. We also loved our time in the backyard when we weren’t out exploring the island. The pair of bikes were a fun way to get around though the house is a short walk to the island’s two standalone restaurants, the pool, the rec room, and the inn. All in all, a great home in a relaxing and unique island location.
