I had such a fantastic solo-travel experience at this property. I was greeted with so much friendliness (including a lovely port wine), an adequate list of recommendations in Porto, and a clean, quiet room with character. I always felt safe, and really enjoyed being outside the bustle of the tourist areas of Porto. I would absolutely visit again; Obrigato!

We were extremely happy with our stay at Ruby Charms. Miguel went above and beyond to make our stay in Porto memorable with referrals for food and experiences. The treats in the room were also so appreciated and special. The kitchen area in the room and outdoor sitting area were bonus amenities. The area was quiet and close to metro station. Look no further for a great affordable place to stay.

Fantastisch appartement, fijne tuin, en dichtbij metrostation. Ontvangst is vriendelijk en het dagelijkse praatje is prettig. Bij ontvangst ligt er een brood en 1e benodigdheden in de koelkast. Super service, dat vind je niet overal. Als je Porto wil ontdekken dan ben je bij Ruby charm houses op de juiste plek!!!

Si vous voulez vous gâter et vous faire gâter (fiole de Porto, biscuits fins, pain et fruits frais) c'est l'endroit parfait. Près de deux stations de métro. Pas d'escaliers à monter. Dans un jardin.

Nice place to stay in Porto.

We stayed for a 7 night break. Ruby Charm rooms are well equipped and comfortable, with an extensive well laid out garden in which to relax after a day’s sightseeing. The area has a some good restaurants and shops close by. Miguel (the proprietor) goes the extra mile for his guests and made us feel at home he is always ready to help. Although Ruby is a little way out from the centre of the city it was not a problem as there are two metro stations in easy walking (5 minutes) distance We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to use again and recommend to other travelers. I absolutely LOVED my stay at Ruby Charm Houses! Miguel and Maria, the husband-and-wife owners, have created something truly special in Porto! The building is over 350 years old, full of history and character, yet the rooms are beautifully updated, clean, modern, and comfortable. The location is fantastic—close to everything but tucked away from the busy streets, making it surprisingly quiet, peaceful, and safe. The outdoor courtyard is an adorable hidden oasis! There are places to relax, a hot tub (€15/session), laundry-drying space, fish to feed, and even cats to hang out with! The thoughtful extras were wonderful, including complimentary groceries upon arrival and the BEST orange juice I've ever tasted from the Algarve! They also have a convenient online system for requesting room deliveries, laundry service, and more. But what truly made my stay unforgettable was the hospitality. Miguel personally gave me a map of Porto, circled places to visit, and offered recommendations based on MY interests rather than generic tourist attractions. He genuinely wanted me to make the most of my time there! You can feel the love Miguel and Maria put into every detail. This isn't just somewhere to sleep; it's a memorable experience with hosts who truly care and treat you like family. If you want history, charm, comfort, convenience, and exceptional hospitality, DON'T HESITATE! Book Ruby Charm Houses! I will absolutely be staying here again! ❤️

Todo fenomenal! Los propietarios encantadores y dispuestos. Cualquier cosa que necesites ahí están. Los apartamentos preciosos, perfectos y súper limpios. El jardín común muy agradable. Puedes hacer tus barbacoas, darte un baño en el jacuzzi, hacer vida en él.

Comfortable, funky and unique!

This place was simply amazing. I came to Porto for the Primaverasound festival and the Nations League football and it was my first time in the city. Miguel could not have been more helpful and the place is comfortable, funky, unique and a great place to hideaway and chill out. The local area has a couple of fine restaurants and is very close to the Metro, supermarket and places for coffee and pasteis de data. Perfect.
