I love the historic feel of the building. Great location! Will definitely be back. Had one small problem and the staff took care of it in the best possible way!

My dear friend from southern California and I met in Portland for a 4 day vacation and we chose The Heathman, due to its perfect location, historical character, excellent service and attention to detail. We were not disappointed. The only bummer was the fact the restaurant is under remodeling, and there is no room service or bar for the next few months but breakfast is served each morning. I love how quiet the building is and the professionalism of all, especially the valet staff. There are so many amazing restaurants within walking distance, our favorite being Dolly Olive just a few blocks away. Also close to Powells, the Pearl District, Rose & Japanese Gardens, Saturday Market, as well as shopping, theatre and the Portland Art Museum (just a block away). Great value. We can't wait to visit again.

The grounds and views are gorgeous and peaceful. You can sit outside on the back deck and look out at the Columbia Gorge. The staff are very helpful, and the food is delicious. The rooms are full of thoughtful amenities, like plenty of outlets and soft lighting in the bathroom. The beds are very comfortable. There are works of art throughout the lodge. There are lots of activities for children and adults.
