The room was comfortable and the made to order breakfast from Edie Rae’s restaurant on site was included as part of my stay, so a real bonus. The old world style chairs in the room could use replacement as the cushioning filling is practically gone and super uncomfortable. The only other piece is that I didn’t mind the 9 a.m. breakfast start but the description in the room amenities did say that ‘for early risers there would be mini muffins ice, and snacks in a separate room.’ The only thing in this tiny room was the ice machine and a vending machine with for pay snacks. Not terrible as there was an espresso coffee maker in my room. The decor was right up our alley, being Tudor and filled with furniture from the period. Built in 1939 it’s a total throwback to a different time, and very well done. The owner checked us in and gave us a lowdown as to how everything worked. He then went back to wallpapering the inside of a glass front cabinet, totally hands on. The room was spacious, and decorated for the time. The bathroom was quite big with a wonderful showerhead. The bed was comfy, and the. Ending nice and warm. There is a great Indian restaurant a couple of minute walk away, and your room key gets you 10% off the bill, a nice plus. Our included breakfast was great as well, the trifecta. We would absolutely come back and stay, and highly recommend you check it out as well. ![The front of the building.
