Absolutely — this keeps the important specifics without feeling like a long complaint.
We had a mixed but overall relaxing stay at Media Luna. The rooms were clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the pool area was well maintained. The beach is small, but the snorkeling right off the beach was surprisingly great and one of our favorite things about the resort.
There was plenty of food, but we found it just okay and wished there were more authentic Honduran/Caribbean options. Drinks were basic and served in paper cups that quickly became soggy from condensation. The rooms could also use some simple improvements like hooks in the bathroom and better shower heads. A tree hitting our roof during windy nights was also pretty noisy.
The staff was generally nice, although some seemed a little disengaged, probably because there were hardly any guests during our stay. There isn’t much to do at the resort, and the excursions offered didn’t really interest us. We left the resort three of our six days to explore other parts of Roatán and definitely recommend finding a reliable taxi driver, since the resort only provides transportation to and from the airport.
There were also too many free-roaming cats begging around the dining area.
Overall, it’s a clean, peaceful place with good snorkeling and a nice pool if you’re looking to relax, but don’t expect a lively all-inclusive experience, lots of amenities, or exceptional food and drinks.
