I would never stay here again honestly was very sexist woman can wear crop tops beaters and more in the restaurants but men are not allowed to wear anything but casual clothes in the restaurants while the ladies can walk around however this hotel caters to sexualizing woman and exploiting they bodies but men must cover up like they are Muslim woman it was very disturbing and as a man wouldn’t spend my money where I’m not treated equal again should have been told the rules at booking

Came from Miami for a nice getaway and ended up with amazing memories and a really bad sun burn. Will come back again! Amazing staff and Noemi was golden, she is so profesional and friendly, helped up with everything 💕

Service was excellent in all areas, buffet variety could be improved, could add a sport bar or entertainment for teens hang around in the evenings, also add water slides. The property is quiet and relaxing, compact size easy for walk around, even the "party" pool is nice not so noisy great music selection, not bachata all day. Specialty restaurants do not need reservations, just walk in, works good if you go earlier than 8pm, but even after that you don't have to wait much, there are 4 restaurants to choose from.

The staff were by far the best part of the property. Upon arriving the bathroom toilet needed a cleaning as it was quite dirty. Towels were missing but other than that it was pretty clean. I wish there was more transparency about the water sports offered by the resort versus those you pay for separately. Additionally it would have been nice to have more food variety but it was not terrible for the value.

We had a great stay. Entertainment and food are amazing Friendly staff and excellent service. Pool and beach areas are good. The only thing that I don’t like is the water at the beach had brown seaweeds…didn’t spend much time because the water is dirty. But overall I like the resorts.

We didn't have airconditioning in our unit from the day we arrived until the day we checked out despite of reporting it to their service maintenace people a handful times. The service is not good since most of the staff dont speak english so theres always a barrier when it comes to communication. The food is ok but not great always the same menu everyday, not even the formal dining areas are good, you have to pay for some food if you want to eat them steak and red wine in their italian restaurant for instance, also their staff at the Jade restaurant wasn't friendly at all, she took our order like she never wants to serve us, she gave us attitude! All in all i would rate Jewel Palm 4 in a scale of 1-10 or 2 in a scale of 1-5. Sorry I'm just being honest here! Good luck..

I get upset thinking about this stay. This was our first time visiting the Dominican. We were there to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. This stay was not worth the money spent. The club level was a waste and scam. The rooms we received were horrible. They are in need of extensive upgrades. Everything was old or broken. The day we arrived, there was a ceiling leak in the the first room assigned. We were moved to a second room and it was no better. The staff for the most part was good. We had a few encounters that were less than positive. We specifically upgraded to be in an area where there would be limited children however, nothing was enforced. The food was horrible. Entertainment was catered to the locals that converged on the hotel starting that Friday. When I asked where to file a compliant, I was told to check on line. The only highlight on this resort was the beach view and our butler. He was the only one that tried to assist and make our trip pleasant. I will NEVER visit this property or possibly the Dominican again after this experience.

Property was good but the room service doesn’t , we need to ask so many times about towels, coffee etc , they have only one housekeeper for each floor and some time at 3 pm our room don’t was done, we need to asked for the mini bar staff etc , common areas are really nice and they really try to help but they need to get more people around the guests.Also we was seeking for adults hotel and that property is a family.

I usually don’t leave reviews but decided to write one for this resort. Pros: -staff for the most part was friendly -Pool area was nice and water was warm -Plenty of sun chairs -Food at the themed restaurants was good Cons: -Room furniture was very old and cheap -No variety of food or even fruits at the buffet (same things every single day) -Drinks were extremely watered down, even the sodas did not taste right -All restaurants were closed in the afternoon -Beach cafe only served the same thing for the entire 7 days we were there (fried chicken, if chickens had knees that’s what I would guess the cut was, burgers, fries, and hot dogs -all subpar) -Beach was ok at best -Shower was horrible -AC in the room leaked and made the floor super slippery and dangerous (took them over 3 hours to come address the issue, and when they finally came, it was after 10pm) We have stayed in different locations at DR in the past but decided to give this one a shot given all the positive reviews we read, but I’ll be honest, Jewel was by far one of the “cheapest” experiences we had, will not return!!!!
