From Qiandaohu, the well-known city of Hangzhou is 90 miles (145 kilometers) to the northeast.
See firsthand why Zhejiang is so beloved by international and local tourists alike, by experiencing the cornucopia of natural and cultural attractions in the vicinity of Qiandaohu. Jiande and Huangshan are two more places worth seeing while you're in Zhejiang.
When you are ready to venture further afield visit the nearest regional city. Jinhua is approximately 55 miles (89 kilometers) away and is home to visitor attractions such as Jinhua Municipal People's Government, Yiwu Futian Wetland Park and International Trade City. And don't return to Qiandaohu until you've investigated Jinhua's Jinhua Grand Theatre, Xiuhu Park and Meihu Exhibition Centre.
Venture into the past while you are visiting Zhejiang. Visit one of the old towns for which the area is known.
The Zhejiang area offers those in the area with plenty of gentle activities, such as picnicking and cycling.
Regardless of whether you're taking the main tourist route or the roads less traveled, understanding some handy Mandarin phrases will be sure to open doors. "Nǐ yào bú yào gēn wǒ tiàowǔ" is the Mandarin way to say "Would you like todance with me?" And also "Zhèiwèi xiānsheng huì qīngdān", which translates as "This gentleman/lady will pay for everything"
