Property is safe,quiet and had old world charm but squite dated w.r.p to comforts such as beds and accessories. Bathroom was small . Windows were drafty. Water was not replaced daily. Service was excellent. Easy check in. Breakfast was good and substantial. In spite of being understaffed , service by wait staff was quick and timely . Staff were helpful and accomodating. Will visit again but request that mattresses and accessories be changed.

We loved the place in general. Clean, quaint historic property, great service form a warm staff. However, our room (#4) was disappointing. Canopy bed was nice, but it was very loud — loud creaks every time we moved. AC unit was super loud. Bathroom big and clean but toilet seemed to rock a bit. It can be a great room but needs some updates.

My room (#14) had an overwhelming musty smell. And the window AC unit was in the ONLY window in the room. Which happened to be in the bathroom. And directly across from the toilet! At the top left of the stairwell leading to the second floor the entire upper ceiling was COVERED in mold. And my room could have been cleaned better - I found dead bugs in at least two locations in the bathroom of my room. On the second night’s stay there was a distinct smell of skunk in the second floor hallway. The location and grounds are wonderful, but all in all it is an old, tired farm house that needs a significant amount of maintenance work and upgrades. On the upside, the breakfasts were pretty good and the staff were friendly (but there weren’t enough of them).
