"Ideal place to experience Lindos"
This was a delightful stay. they couldn't do to much for you and we're extremely friendly. The hotel was only a few metres from the Main Street but was still very private and quiet. The breakfast was in their new Greek cafe which was close by on the high street and was very enjoyable. The accommodation was in a traditional Greek village house which suited us. Wifi was available and good. Aircon was effective. Everything else we wanted was there. The joint courtyard was sociable and convenient. We socialised with people from Chile,Italy and South Africa. They also picked you up from Rhodes and dropped you off. The place and the people are gems

"Excellent hotel resort for families"
We booked Rhodes on a last minute whim, and pretty soon realised that because of our late booking there weren't many hotels that could accommodate the six of us (2 adults 4 children aged 4-10) The best option we found was Irene Palace and we booked it, feeling apprehensive about the mixed reviews, especially about the rude staff. As a Muslim family we didn't want to experience any negative behaviour. We arrived at the hotel and were welcomed by the reception and the manager Mr Philomenas. We had booked half board online but as we drove through the main road we realised that most shops and restaurants were closed so opted for all inclusive when we arrived. The hotel is in excellent condition, seems like it has been refurbished recently and minor works were going while we were there, they did not disrupt our stay at all in any way. The workers were quietly getting on with their tasks. The food was of very good quality & fresh at each mealtime, if food had finished on a tray then you would have to wait no more than 2 mins before a new tray of food was brought in. When the food restaurant manager realised we weren't able to eat the meat or chicken (it wasn't halal) they made sure we were supplied with an extra fish item on our table at each meal time. The potato slices in a herby sauce are amazing, you must make sure you try them during lunch or dinner. At breakfast they serve these little banana fritters with nuts & honey drizzled on top. These are absolutely delicious. For

"Steps from the beach"
We spent 4 nights in a partial sea-view studio for 3. You can't really see the sea at all from the suite but, nevertheless, it's 20 steps away so not really an issue. The studios are at the end of the harbour so it's quiet which is great (and you can walk the entire length of the harbour in 10 minutes). The studio is comfortable and spacious enough (don't expect a spa resort). There was a great patio in front where you could sit and read in the shade when the sun was too intense. The air conditioner worked well so we slept comfortably. The mattress was a little on the firm side for my taste but not a big complaint.

"2 weeks in August"
Well, since came basically for windsurfing only, we was leaving at 9.00, getting back to the hotel at 20.00. Breakfast was ok to get energy till 14.00. But, if you are going to spend a lazy vacation - consider renting a villa or go to more expensive place.

"Gorgeous luxury villa"
We had a fabulous holiday here. 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The villa was spotlessly clean and the pool was lovely. Maid service every day and the rep also contacted us almost every day, often bringing cakes, to ensure we had everything we wanted. The villa was really peaceful and quiet, very relaxing. The wifi was adequate for all our needs. Kolymbia is a small family resort and we didn't spend much time there, but it was a 10 minute walk, 15minutes to the beach, if you wanted. We stayed by the pool! It is well located for visiting other parts of the island, being halfway between Rhodes and Lindos, plus close to one of the roads crossing the island. I would say a car is essential. I wouldn't recommend it for families with very young children as there are marble floors, split level rooms, and the pool is directly off the patio, with no barrier to stop small children accessing it. Once your children are safe near water it is a fabulous holiday location.
